MOVIE REVIEW: Maleficent

Maleficent was one of the perfect movies I have watched this year. It gave a really good point on showing people's real love for someone. At first, I really just hoped that she won't be good anymore but at the end of the movie, she really made it through. She is really the good villain I have ever seen. I used to know Disney because of its princesses but I think Maleficent could be included, what I really liked about the stories was that... everybody expected that a real good kiss will always come from a guy, pertaining to what we usually call as prince charming, but the truth is.. it's the kiss of Maleficent that she really needs. She expressed the most unexpected love, despite of being betrayed by her first love, she considered the fact that the kids isn't involve with her anguish. She instead took care, secretly about the princess, named Aurora. All in all, I really liked the movie because it simply tells people that we don't have to find love to other people, true love don't just come easily, real love is in a big process, of acceptance, and real love, usually belongs to the people who expresses it but usually not noticed. Also, not all the villains are the worst character in such story, everything has its own reason, like Maleficent. Worthy to be watched movie!

POEM: I'm not with you, no more.

I used to believe that we'll be together

but I guess, it's the real thing to deserve no same.

POLITICS: My Fellow People, My Philippines.

Oh my fellow people, my Philippines,

Why are we treated like we are unseen?

These people we have trusted for so long,

there they are telling we had done so wrong,

Oh my fellow people, my Philippines,

Why are we following this ever since?

The dirty politics we used to know,

do still existing and do grow, Oh no!

Being educated is not enough,

They have the brains but their heart is so rough.

What can we do aside from waiting them?

We do need prayers and not requiem.

We know that the answers do not just fall,

They need change, they need prayer, all of all.

We must not depend to them but to us,

or else we'll be people of hopeless fuss.

POEM: Amy

She's Amy who studied at Leonia,

full'f gorgeousness and awesomeness aura.

Her charming eyes and hypnotizing smile,

Oh how I wish I'm not so in a mile.

When she sings, your world would so even stop,

Hitting those notes as east as tear drop.

The way she dances defines gracefulness,

Not just judges would tell she's pure goddess,

As sexy as her voice speaks by her dress,

Something that all man should always confess.

Her composition would tell you her past,

It's once hidden by this fair colored plast.

She is Amy who really chose to be,

Forgotten by the past whose made by me.

POEM: The Hopeless People

The sun now rises and touches the day,

these hopeless people rise to seize their way.

They forget and start to rethink their life,

Aiming higher than high, not just a wife.

Hopeless they were but now stand there in front,

They're now ready to do a route of hunt.

Hunt not just a food but real life to come,

Which life deprived like the goodness of some.

They were the hopeless people, now they stand,

ready to make lives pretty unbland.

NATURE: Beautiful Day

What a beautiful day to wake up,

Starting your day with a tea in a blue cup.

The birds just sing as they had a great meal,

Telling that I'm living something for real.

As I step outside, the sky is so blue,

It says to me "God made this day for you."

There then I suddenly felt the cool breeze,

I'm also something, not just Laurice.

I walked along the street and I saw those flowers,

Made me not wondering why they don't have lawn mowers.

This day seemed perfect and not for real,

But this were the moments we always steal.

Not appreciating the fact that the nature is good,

Nature that gives us no reason to be rude.

OTTAMA RIMA: Me Like No One

When I am saw you my friend I did not know,

That I'm getting myself fully into you.

I know I'm no one but I want to show,

Different kind of love I have for you.

Please don't tell me that I'm just here to sow,

I'm here for you and that's just what I do.

I can be someone when you don't have no one,

Someone that was treated by you like no one.

TUTORIAL: For new Worship leaders, how will you choose songs in Worship Leading?

Lifted hands while worshiping.

This blog is basically for the people who are very new to Worship Leading like me. I've been leading worship for about a year now, and I could tell you that this blog may help you in choosing the right songs when you are asked to make the line up for your next service, and lead the worship.

First, you must know the meaning of the songs first before putting them in your line up.

There are times that Worship leaders' just choose songs without knowing the meaning of them. I know for a fact that all worship songs are good, but I think... everything should be jiving with one another. That's very important, because if you're first song is all about Prayer, then your next song is about Rejoicing… that's actually good but there must be sense of good connection when moving to the next song because the songs make people internalize more of what they are confessing to God while worshipping. I know this is obvious but it should always be repeated to be reminded I think.

Second, you must know and internalize FIRST the songs and share it to the whole team.

As a praise leader, you must tell them how the songs moved you and why it moved you. This is very important because when you these songs, it’ll be hard for you to feel those chosen songs if you didn’t reflect with them. It happens all the time. Well, my tip about this is that… try to choose a song that you knew already, and pray more for that particular song. But again, when you are up for a new song, ask for their opinion and internalize as a group, a very good thing to be done by the worship team.

Third, if songs were given by the Pastor which you don’t know, one thing is needed, OBEDIENCE.

This is happening all the time especially for us beginners. There must always be someone who will guide you to the right track. Please just take note of that word, right track. Why? Because these people are more knowledgeable and know more about worship leading, so let’s entrust everything to them. Like me, when I started leading, I first thought that I will be the one who will choose the songs, but there’s this missionary who’s giving a whole set of song which I don’t even know the meaning. I admit that it is hard, but once you try to understand and know that they are knowledgeable and assigned by God, obedience would come.

Just remember these all and you’re good to go. Please remember that you are not performing but worshipping. All glory to God people!
